Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil.

Thinly slice the red onion and ginger.

I liked this dish but it was a bit salty. I'd cook it slightly differently, too. Not bad.

Overall good - generous proportions, nice veg/meat/pasta proportions. But we only used about 1/4 of the soy sauce and still it turned out a bit too salty, maybe because of the black pepper sauce, so I would recommend minimal salting of the pasta to balance that.
