    Preheat the oven to 150C.

    Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil.

    Peel and finely chop the red onion and garlic. Halve the cherry tomatoes.

    Finely chop the parsley

    Heat the olive oil in frying pan over medium heat.

    Add the onion, cherry tomatoes and garlic and sauté until onions are translucent.

    Add the chopped tomatoes, reduce the heat and simmer gently.

    Season with salt, pepper and chilli flakes to taste.

    Add the gnocchi to the boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

    Add the cream and stir through the sauce.

    Stir through the parsley in the tomato-cream sauce.

    Drain the gnocchi.

    Stir the gnocci through the tomato sauce.

    Transfer the gnocchi to a baking dish.

    Grate the mozzarella and sprinkle on top of the gnocchi.

    Place the gnocchi in the oven and melt the mozzarella.

    Remove the gnocchi from the oven and distribute among serving plates.

    Grate the parmesan over the gnocchi and serve.
