    Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil.

    Peel and finely chop the brown onion, celery and garlic.

    Chop the parsley.

    In another saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

    Add the brown onion and garlic and sauté until translucent.

    Finely grate the parmesan.

    Drain the gnocchi and then stir through the bolognaise sauce.

    Distribute the gnocchi bolognaise among the serving bowls.

    Top with grated parmesan and garnish with any remaining parsley.
