    Bring a saucepan of well-salted water to the boil.

    Finely chop the onion and garlic.

  • 3.5 min

    Finely chop the parsley.

  • 4.5 min

    Finely chop the white bread.

  • 6.0 min

    Finely zest the lemon.

  • 8.0 min

    Juice the lemons.

    Add the pasta to the boiling water.

    Melt half of the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

    Add the bread and garlic and cook until golden.

    Transfer the bread mixture to a bowl.

    Add the remaining butter in the frying pan.

    Add the onion, artichoke and chilli flakes. Cook until onion has started to soften.

    Using tongs, remove the linguine from the boiling water and place in the frying pan with the onion and chilli.
